On arrival at Paro Airport (PBH) – After immigration formalities and baggage collection, you will be met by our representative and afterwards drive to Thimphu The capital town of Bhutan with en-route stop at Chuzom, the confluence of Thimphu and Paro rivers It is the centre of government, religion, commerce and the hub of Tourism.The capital has an interesting combination of tradition and modernity, Places to visit are to temples, Dzong, chortens, museums, handicraft stores, nunneries, parks and many more Three different style of stupas, Tibetan, Nepalese and Bhutanese adorn this confluence - On arrival, in Thimphu check-into the hotel Evening an exploratory walk around Thimphu main street and market area Overnight stay at hotel in Thimphu.
After breakfast, Visit the Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue). Located at a short drive from Thimphu City Centre, Kuenselphodrang offers a good overview of the Thimphu valley. The largest statue of Buddha in the country sits here which houses over one hundred thousand smaller Buddha statues. Then visit the National Memorial Chorten built in the memory of the Third King of Bhutan. Finally visit the Folk Heritage Museum. Afternoon visit Sangaygang View Point, Changangkha Monastery and the Takin Preserve Centre. Takin is the national animal of Bhutan. In the evening visit Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion). After sightseeing return back to the hotel and overnight stay in Thimphu.
Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Paro. The Dochula Pass is a mountain pass in the snow covered Himalayas within Bhutan on the road from Thimpu to Punakha. As reach check into hotel after freshen up visit to Ta Dzong, an ancient watch tower housing the National Museum and descend for a while to the Paro Dzong, also named Rinphung Dzong. Morning after breakfast will drive to Taktsang Lhakhang is Bhutan’s most iconic landmark and religious site. The name Taktsang translates to “The Tiger’s Nest”. This temple is one of the most holy sites in the kingdom and clings impossibly to a sheer cliff face 900 hundred meters above the Paro Valley. It was first built in 1692 at a cave where Guru Rimpoche meditated in the 7th century A.D. Legend states that Guru Rimpoche flew to the site atop the back of a tigress and meditated in the cave for 3 years, 3 months, 3 days and 3 hours in order to subdue evil demons residing within it. The cave has been considered a sacred site ever since and many famous saints have travelled to meditate in it Taktsang. Overnight stay at hotel in Paro.
Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Airport as reach we will drop you to Airport.
